Analysis of the dynamics of growth in the number of small enterprises (without micro) and forecast of their further development on the example of «model» regions using cluster and correlation analysis. P u r p o s e. Assessment of the socio - economic development of small business in the «model» regions, determined by the results of cluster analysis based on the use of the K - average method.M e t h o d o l o g y. Logical, comparative, economic and statistical, cluster, correlation analysis. R e s u l t s . Formed, with a sufficient level of reliability and significance of the parameters, five virtual clusters (groups of regions). Based on the results of analysis of variance, “model” regions in each cluster were identified. The dynamics of the development of small enterprises from 2011 to 2018 inclusive is analyzed with a forecast for the next three years in each «model» region.S c o p e . Economic policy of regional authorities in the field of foreign entrepreneurial activity. C o n c l u s i o n s . In the course of the study, it was found that in the selected «model» regions of the Russian Federation, despite the different dynamics of the development of small enterprises (without micro), there is a general trend towards a decrease in the growth of the number of small enterprises. The results of the correlation analysis, due to the unstable dynamics, do not allow us to accurately predict the process of further development of small business. A revision of the approved strategies for the development of small businesses in each «model» region is required.
