Abstract
The relevance of the topic. The main goal of developing a motivation system in a government agency is to increase the efficiency of civil servants and achieve the best results in their professional activities. This is achieved through creating incentives for achieving high performance, establishing clear criteria for assessing performance and rewards for achieving set goals. Optimizing the system of labor motivation for civil servants is very relevant these days and permeates the entire range of measures to improve the state civil service in the Russian Federation. Goal. The purpose of the study is to develop mechanisms for motivating the work of state civil servants in modern conditions. Methodology. The methodology is based on the application of various theoretical and empirical methods: analysis of literature related to the study of motivation problems, situational and systematic approach, application of logical, comparative, structural and functional analysis of sources, as well as analysis of sociological research. Results and conclusions. The paper demonstrates the use of a matrix map to assess the motivational balance of public civil servants and the performance coefficient to assess the effectiveness of a civil servant and determine his contribution to the overall work of an organization or project. The performance coefficient helps the manager to assess how effectively each civil servant uses his efforts and resources to achieve his goals. This allows you to identify the strengths and weaknesses of each employee, as well as determine which efforts or resources can be improved or optimized. Scope of application: the results of the conducted research can be used in the implementation of mechanisms for motivating the professional activities of public civil servants.
