Abstract
The relevance of the topic. The article deals with the current state and peculiarities of small business development in the Far North — the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and related economic processes taking into account national interests. As it is known, the development of entrepreneurial activity in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and in the country as a whole is carried out against the background of existing problems facing the state in the form of transition of the country's economy to innovative rails, which will contribute to meeting the ever-growing needs of society. Goal. The purpose of article is to develop methodological and practical recommendations for assessing the development of small and medium-sized enterprises at the regional level, to reveal a number of features in this area and to give a brief characteristic of entrepreneurial activity in the region - the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). The article highlights that the achievement of this goal will be possible only in the case of a significant increase in the number of private business entities by taking effective measures of state support. It is this approach that will contribute to the growth of entrepreneurial activity and initiative. Without the creation by both federal and regional governments of conditions conducive to further growth of private business initiative, in particular, the Government of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) will find it difficult to solve the tasks of sustainable development of the region's economy and related social problems. Methodology. Methods of logical and comparative analysis, the research of theoretical and methodological aspects of the state financial support of entrepreneurial activity in recent years is devoted to a large number of publications of both Russian authors: O. M. Abbasova, L. I. Abduraimova, E. V. Bulankina, E. V. Lebedeva, V. Y. Gorfinkel, E. E. Koba, A. B. Krutik, E. G. Egorova, M. E. Tarasova, A. A. Popova and many others. Results and conclusions. In modern market economy the central place is given to entrepreneurial activity, which plays a significant role in ensuring the stability of socio-economic development of the region and in solving various socio-economic problems, and primarily aimed at improving the quality of life of the population. A market economy cannot develop intensively without entrepreneurship. Analysing various points of view, we can conclude that the essence of entrepreneurial activity, in this case, is reduced not only to profit, but also to the satisfaction of socio-economic needs of society through a continuous reproduction process. Scope of application. Entrepreneurial activity of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) has an undisclosed potential and can play a significant role in ensuring the stability of socio-economic development of the region, the creation of favourable conditions for the development of small and medium-sized businesses, which is an important area of work of public authorities and local governments of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
