The relevance of the topic. The work focuses on the role of secondary vocational education in the economic development of the region and presents an analysis of the current state of the system of this level of education, identification of problems. This system depends on the organizational and economic mechanism on the quality of training of specialists, their competitiveness in the labor market, and therefore the general economic development of the region. However, despite the key role of secondary vocational education, existing management mechanisms in this area often require refinement and optimization. This requires a deep analysis of the current state of the system, as well as the identification of problems and prospects for its development. Methodology. As a research tool, we used: a generalization method, an overview of literary sources, as well as quantitative and qualitative analysis of data. Results and conclusions. As a result of the study, the concept of organizational and economic management mechanism in secondary vocational education was determined. Key problems and challenges facing the secondary vocational education system in the region have been identified, and recommendations have been proposed to overcome them. Scope of application. This analysis can be useful for educational authorities, educational institutions and other stakeholders seeking to improve and optimize the system of secondary vocational education.
