Abstract

Relevance. The article reflects the ideological discourse of a specific little-studied problem of the press activity in the rear regions of Russia during the Great Patriotic War. The study of the activities of the mass media of the war years is necessary to establish objective truth from the standpoint of unbiased historicism. Goal. The analysis of the regional practice of the functioning of the mass media of the war years from the standpoint of historical truth, directed against the falsification of the events of the Great Patriotic War. An important role is given to the restructuring of ideological work in war conditions, where special attention is paid to a set of issues: the orientation, tasks, forms and methods of ideological and political activity of the media among home front workers. Methodology. Methods of retrospective, logical and comparative analysis of forms and methods of using the source base in the «West-East» format. The research is based on the problem-chronological method, which made it possible to generalize and systematize the variety of forms and methods of media activity in the Soviet rear. When studying the content of the rear newspapers, the method of discourse analysis was used. Results and conclusions. The role of the press in the ideological influence on society, in the formation of a system of beliefs and beliefs, their transition through social practices and the process of routine ideology into everyday actions is shown. The impact of the mass media on the population of the rear is reflected through the display of labor heroism and the formation of interaction between the newspaper publication and the reader within the framework of a given discourse. The scope of application. The materials may be useful in training personnel for the media. They can be used in the lecture course of Higher Education in the departments of social sciences, as well as in the system of political and historical education.
