Abstract

The relevance of the topic. The economic potential and opportunities for sustainable growth of regions are currently largely determined by the level and characteristics of scientific and technological development, which becomes the main goal of state policy in the regional sphere. Solving this problem helps to accelerate the independence and competitiveness of the Russian Federation by creating an effective system for building up and making the fullest use of the nation's intellectual potential. Goal. Analysis of the fundamental components of regional development, in particular, scientific and technological areas. Methodology. The methodological basis of the study consists of general scientific methods: statistical analysis and synthesis, generalization, a systematic approach; legislative and regulatory acts. Results and conclusions. The main directions of scientific and technological development at the state and regional levels have been identified. The necessity of creating a full-fledged scientific and technological subsystem at the regional level is substantiated; the task of the regional level is justified - the need to form a scientific and technological complex. The features of its formation are revealed: the difficulty of foreseeing prospects and the uncertainty of development in the long term; The leading influencing factors have been identified. Scope of application. Scientific and technological complex at the regional level.
