ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY OF THE REGIONS AS A COMPONENT OF THE MODERN POLITICAL PROCESS

Abstract

The relevance of the topic. The high degree of responsibility of environmental policy in Russia and the continuing low efficiency of its implementation indicate the undoubted relevance of this problem in the new global and socio-political conditions. The analysis of the impact of global processes on Russia's environmental policy is still very poorly represented in scientific research. There is no analysis of the problems and prospects arising in the implementation of environmental policy in the regions of the world, depending on the political processes taking place at the present stage. Goal. To analyze the impact of political processes on the implementation of environmental policy in various regions of the world. Methodology. The article uses such methods as comparative analysis, the method of expert assessments, and a systematic approach. Results and conclusions. Based on the results of the study, we conclude that the political processes taking place in different regions of the world, the impact of globalization, changes in the environmental and economic situation, and ongoing transformations of interstate unions require the development of new approaches to improve the effectiveness of environmental policy. The scope of application. The results of the study can be used in the implementation of the state environmental policy.
