Abstract

The last hundred years of world economic development have confirmed the paramount role of entrepreneurship in ensuring high rates of economic growth and prosperity growth in different countries of the world. Countries that ignored the freedom to develop entrepreneurial activities and limited the economic freedom of their citizens and enterprises showed a low level of welfare, a fall in economic growth rates and other crisis phenomena. On the contrary, countries that ensured the freedom of entrepreneurial activity showed the growth of individual and public welfare, the entire national economy. World experience of the formation of a modern mixed economy demonstrates the prolongation of periods of strengthening the influence of either the state or business. It is for this reason that at the beginning of the 21st century, the question of their correlation not only in countries with a transitional economy, but also in those where there is a long-established mechanism of state regulation of the economy, where the main market institutions have long been formed, became relevant again. The problem of effective management of the process of harmonizing the interests of the state and business as the main subjects of the market economy becomes especially topical.Analysis of the interaction of the state and business in modern Russian conditions allows us to conclude that the improvement of the mechanism of state management is directly correlated with the success of the business sector of the country’s economy. Today, the level of mutual understanding between business and the state in Russia is far from ideal.
