Abstract

In modern Russian society, there is an increased interest of ordinary citizens and representatives of the business environment to the development of domestic production stimulated by authorities in the conditions of foreign trade restrictions with Western states. The article observes socio-economic, institutional, legal complexities that exist for a long time in Russian society and impede the actualization of the import substitution policy in a full scale, and analyzes with segment approach the necessary conditions for ensuring national economic security during the period of foreign trade restrictions implemented by Western countries.
