Abstract

The article analyzes food security which is the special problem of national security. It is well known that low food security negatively influences on all aspects of life. Poor nutrition and lack of biologically active agents are a factors which limit the person from the vital benefits. Therefore, the article presents the dynamics of consumption, the most important foods, the level of satisfaction, compares with normative rules. Analysis of the import-export ratio of food products in Russia has proved that over the last 10 years, there has been an increase in the share of imported agricultural raw materials and food, which increased the dependence of the food market and seriously infringed the interests of national agriculture. In the context of the global crisis and the «war of sanctions» import substitution in all sectors of the Russian economy has no alternative. According to scientific research import substitution is the strategy which allows Russia to overcome problems of development and to save economy from raw dependence. In Doc-trine of food security of the Russian Federation the course on the development of agro-industrial complex of the country is formulated. According to National security Strategy of the Russian Federation the developed agriculture plays one of the main roles in the field of food security. The importance of agriculture is growing every day since the introduction of economic sanctions.
