Assessment of the current practice of strategizing the processes of digitalization of the economy of regions, identification of its inherent positive aspects and limitations. Methodology. Methods of content analysis of updated strategies for socio economic development of regions and comparative analysis of the directions, tasks and expected results of digitalization of the economy presented in them. Results . Through the analysis of regional strategies, positive aspects and limitations inherent in the modern practice of strategizing the processes of digitization of the economy have been identified. Taking into account the experience of advanced regions, the composition of its main directions, key tasks and results has been supplemented. Application. Practice of developing strategies for socio economic development of regions. Conclusions . The identified «gaps» in the content of the processes of digitalization of the economy indicate the need to take into account the experience of strategic planning of advanced regions, which is in demand for a reasonable complement to the composition of its main directions, key tasks and expected results.
