The requirements for pedagogical control are especially increasing when the learning environment changes and new forms and methods are introduced, in particular, the use of the distance education system. The authors have systematized the methods and defined the technology for controlling key competencies for training a highly qualified specialist with a competence - oriented approach to education, and also concretized some features of the construction of the educational process, monitoring its results in the distance education system.
