The introduction of lean management in the executive bodies of state power is objectively conditioned by the need to improve the efficiency of management in the conditions of digital transformation of the economy. Purpose. Analysis of the current state and development of proposals for the implementation of lean management in the Department of Industry and Transport of the Voronezh region. Methodology. The method of theoretical analysis, analysis of regulatory legal documents on the topic of research and the study of materials from scientific and periodicals on the topic of research, the decisionmaking methodology of DMAIC and PDCA. Results and conclusions. As part of the analysis of the implementation of lean management in the executive authorities, using the example of the Department of Industry and Transport of the Voronezh Region, the following problems were identified: lack of software and software products necessary for the activities; limited limit of budget financing for the purchase of software in the amount of up to 300 thousand rubles. taking into account all the features of financing projects under the programs of the Regional Fund for the Development of Industry of the Voronezh Region; insufficient level of digital competencies, qualifications and professionalism (in terms of process automation) of employees; the specific structure of public authorities, which greatly reduces or complicates the possibility of obtaining a sufficient level of material motivation, career growth; rigidly structured and regulated procedure for conducting basic procedures and processes; interaction between employees and management is clearly structured and regulated; ordinary employees do not have the opportunity to demonstrate their leadership qualities. The resolution of the identified problems is possible in the process of improving the activities of the Department of Industry and Transport of the Voronezh Region by introducing new methods and tools: to develop and acquire software as exclusive rights or non-exclusive rights to use it, taking into account the involvement of a third-party organization for the automated calculation of repayment schedules (as a simplified analogue of banking information systems); to develop and approve a form of control in the form of an Excel-based registry for quality control of the timing of the implementation of measures in terms of the provision of reports by industry entities, the achievement of target indicators for the provided subsidies. Improving the implementation of lean management in the executive bodies of state power is conceptually associated with the use of new management methods and tools in the Department of Industry and Transport of the Voronezh Region.
