The dynamics of political processes in Russia is determined by the activity of not only political parties but also by the State Duma as the most representative political institution. The State Duma also has its own dynamics, which is reflected in the evolution of the political institutions and the parties that represent it. Based on statistical data there is shown the evolution of the political institution of the State Duma on the basis of a comparative analysis of regional parliamentary elections in Russia.
