S u b j e ct . Building a system of economic security at industrial enterprises in the formation of an ecosystem model of interaction. T o p i c . Theoretical and methodological approaches to building a system of economic security at industrial enterprises in the context of external challenges and ecosystem interaction. P u r p o s e. Consider theoretical and practical approaches to the formation of industrial ecosystems on the example of a cluster. To analyze the system of economic security of industrial enterprises and the level of maturity of actors who claim to participate in the industrial ecosystem. M e t h o d o l o g y. Conceptual representation of industrial ecosystems as complex systems from the point of view of self - organization and self - development. R e s u l t s . Methods of forming and evaluating the system of economic security of industrial ecosystem enterprises have been developed. The advantage of this research is the possibility of using the developed theoretical and methodological apparatus in the practical activities of economic entities operating in industrial clusters and ecosystems, in order to ensure the economic security of enterprises and develop development strategies in the context of ecosystem interaction, technological challenges and mental changes. A p p l i c a t i o n a r e a . The field of strategic and project management at industrial ecosystem enterprises. C o n c l u s i o n s . The challenges associated with the digital transformation of all processes in society, the economic crisis, and the growing social stratification in society are rapidly changing the mental models of interaction between economic entities at the micro and macro levels, making changes to traditional business approaches, rebuilding public institutions, and transforming production and logistics processes. In these conditions, the market and society actors are faced with the task of developing ways of further development that differ from the traditional ones. The industrial ecosystem is an evolutionary development of cluster models for combining economic entities. It is important to note the level of economic security of industrial enterprises in terms of ecosystem interaction. The developed methods allow us to evaluate both the system of our own economic security and other actors in the industrial ecosystem

S u b j e c t . Building a waste free production system based on industrial symbiosis models. T o p i c. Theoretical approaches of constructing the industrial symbiosis, providing a circularity of resources, and the analysis of successful international practices in this field. P u r p o s e. To consider the theoretical and practical aspects of the regional industrial symbioses’ formation. To analyze industrial symbiotic associations that are at different stages of their development and operate on the territory of Russia and the EU. M et h o d o lo g y. Conceptual representation of industrial symbioses as organic systems capable of providing self organization and self development, system approach, concepts of sustainable development and industrial ecology. R e s u lt s . The features and principles of creating industrial symbioses are revealed. This work makes a significant contribution to the development of areas of scientific thought devoted to the problems of ecological, socio economic development of regions in the context of studying the methods and tools of the circular economy. In practical terms, the implementation of the industrial symbiosis model will enable authorities and management to identify a new format of interaction between industrial enterprises based on joint resource consumption and recycling of industrial waste. The symbiosis of industrial actors allows you to get both economic, environmental and social benefits without the participation of external investment. A p p l i c a t i o n a r e a . The field of strategic management in industrial systems. C o n c l u s i o n s . In modern conditions characterized by instability and crises, integration and partnership of various industrial systems is of crucial importance in order to achieve the goals and principles of sustainable development and build waste free production systems. The effect of such integration is shown when technologies stimulate the transfer of knowledge in the business environment, as well as lead to increased productivity along the entire value chain, to the sustainable development of each of the participants in the industrial symbiosis, and, as a result, to the achievement of industry and government strategic goals.

The global trend towards digital transformation of the economy is accompanied by new challenges for enterprises, organizations and industries. In order to ensure the competitiveness of economic entities both on the domestic and international markets, digital transformation in the context of management and technological processes and models is necessary, as well as strengthening their interaction among themselves (cross sectoral interaction) and with other participants of the innovation system (ecosystem formation). This will make it possible to fully realize the systemic potential of the digital economy by integrating digital technologies into the economic mechanism of each institutional entity.

At present the humanity is forced to look for new development models due to the shortage of natural resources, the global and economic problems. The article is devoted to the sus- tainable development, the role and place of metallurgical industry in this process. The experience of international organizations in developing the sustainable development mechanism is analyzed in the paper and recommendations on the use of a new sustainable model - circular economy or “closed loop economy” are given.K e y wo r d s : sustainable development, regional development, industrial enterprises, circulareconomy, area of presence.
