Based on the study of methodological, analytical and practical aspects of the formation of a system for assessing the state of the innovation sphere in the region, conclusions are made about the advantages and disadvantages of its development. The directions of development of the regional information analytical system for monitoring innovation activity of corporations are defined. Application. Sphere of management of innovative development of territories. Conclusions . The current system of statistical indicators is not sufficiently adapted to the requirements of management at the regional, municipal and corporate levels. In this regard, the regional authorities, together with the corporate sector, need to create conditions for the development of the industrial complex, its diversification and increasing competitiveness through the modernization of production; to activate the policy of import substitution; to implement a set of measures for the development of innovation.
