The relevance of the topic. The issues of assessing the competitiveness of business entities and strengthening their competitive positions have not lost their relevance for many years. With the development of the national economic system and its regional subsystems, many industries attract new participants, which makes the respective markets more competitive. However, even in those markets where direct competition is absent or relatively weakly expressed, organizations from time to time face challenges that require comparison with other entities on a wide range of features. The most widely used methods for assessing the competitiveness of enterprises on such grounds as economic performance, the efficiency of the use of various resources, as well as the shares they occupy in the markets of their products. However, there are other ways to identify the competitiveness of business entities. In fact, almost any performance parameters, if they are superior to those of other companies, can directly or indirectly indicate a higher level of competitiveness and a stronger competitive position. This paper proposes a methodology for assessing competitiveness in terms of parameters commonly used to analyze economic security. Goal. Suggest, describe, and test a methodology for assessing the competitiveness of an enterprise based on the parameters of its economic security. Methodology. The following research tools were used: the method of generalization, coefficient analysis, comparative analysis, analysis of informative and analytical materials related to the tasks set in the study. Results and conclusions A method for simultaneously assessing the level of economic security and the level of competitiveness of the object of study was developed and tested on the example of the actual data of a particular agricultural enterprise. The technique makes it possible to successfully solve the set analytical problems and can be applied depending on the objectives of the study. Scope of application. The proposed methodology for assessing the competitiveness of an organization can form the basis for making managerial decisions to strengthen the competitive position of a business, as well as its economic security.

The relevance of the topic. Evaluation of the effectiveness of project measures to support agroindustrial enterprises at the planning stage is necessary for the formation of a set of preventive measures in the field of support. Goal. Review, evaluation and comparison of methodological approaches to assessing the effectiveness and efficiency of government activities in the field of agricultural support. Methodology. Comparison of available techniques using methods of analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, monographic method, system analysis, etc. Results and conclusions. An algorithm is proposed to assess the sufficiency and effectiveness of the state support provided, also in the situation of its absence. The methods of assessing the effectiveness of state support to the agricultural sector of the economy, which can be used before the implementation of planned activities, are considered. These include: «The main methodological aspects of determining the level of state support for agriculture», developed by OECD specialists; The VNIETUSX methodology; methodology for monitoring the effectiveness of the use of funds allocated to agricultural producers; forecasting the relationship between state support under state programs and the volume of agricultural production (development of the A. A. Nikonov VIAPI). According to the authors, depending on the goals and the current situation in a particular industry, the methodology for assessing state support proposed by OECD specialists requires adaptation and adjustment. As a result, the author’s algorithm for determining the effectiveness of the use of budgetary funds by individual territories or economic entities is proposed, which can be used both to assess the sufficiency and effectiveness of the support provided, and in a situation where the provision of support has not yet begun. The proposed algorithm is applicable regardless of whether the course of agrarian policy is chosen to maintain only successful industries and industries, or industries with the best potential, or a course to equalize the results and attractiveness of different sub-industries and even individual enterprises.
