Abstract
Relevance. To accelerate the pace of digital transformation of the region's economic activity, it is necessary to create high-tech industries, modernize economic sectors, and train highly qualified personnel. The key condition for this process is the widespread introduction of modern digital technologies. The purpose of the study is to assess the maturity of the ecosystem of digital transformation of economic activity using materials from the Kursk region. The research methodology is based on a review of the works of domestic economists and analysis of data from the Federal State Statistics Service. Results and conclusions. The decline in the use of digital technologies by enterprises and organizations in the Kursk region does not yet allow us to talk about a large-scale digital transformation of the economy of the Kursk region. At the same time, the region has a high potential for digital transformation of economic activity, for example, through the development of the "Smart Region" concept, certain elements of which are already being introduced into the management of the region.
