THE INSTITUTION OF AN AUTHORIZED ECONOMIC OPERATOR IN ENSURING THE MINIMIZATION OF CUSTOMS RISKS

Abstract

The relevance of the topic. The introduction of the institution of an authorized economic operator helps to reduce the time for customs formalities, allows minimizing the costs of participants in foreign economic activity, which, in turn, contributes to the development of foreign trade. The institution of an authorized economic operator helps to minimize customs risks. Goal. To investigate the role of the customs economic operator in ensuring the minimization of customs risks, to reveal the problems and prospects for the development of this institution in the EAEU. Methodology. Methods of comparative and logical analysis, systematization of data. Results and conclusions. The paper examines the role of an authorized economic operator in the context of restrictions and sanctions pressure from Western countries. Further development of this institution will contribute to improving the quality of foreign trade operations, because when managing risks, the factor of their participation in a foreign trade transaction should be taken into account, since these are companies with the highest level of trust. AEO companies will contribute to minimizing risks in the implementation of customs control, reducing the costs of participants in foreign economic activity, and reducing the time for customs formalities. In order to increase the attractiveness of AEO, in addition to the simplifications provided for by the EAEU Customs Code, it is necessary to actively promote and implement projects on mutual recognition of the status of an authorized economic operator with the customs services of friendly countries.
