ANALYSIS OF THE STATE AND PROSPECTS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE MEAT INDUSTRY IN RUSSIAN REGIONS

Abstract

This article examines the dynamics of the state and prospects of the meat industry in the regions of Russia for 2024—2025. The prospects for the development of this area, as well as potential difficulties in different regions of Russia, are analyzed. The main focus is on the analysis of data on production and consumption of products in the meat industry. Examples of dynamics in relation to the production of meat products and the raw material base are also considered. Goal. The article analyzes the production and consumption of meat products in the regions of the Russian Federation. Methodology. The research methodology is based on systematic, process and functional approaches. In the course of the research, system analysis, synthesis, induction, deduction, formal logical method, methods of constructing hypotheses were used. Results and conclusions. Meat products are an important component in the diet of the population, which undoubtedly acquires a social character. Animal husbandry is one of the branches of the agro–industrial complex, which requires a systematic approach and in-depth scientific analysis, especially issues related to product turnover, the number of livestock and poultry raised for slaughter. The regions are identified as points of growth in global production, consumption, and the main types of meat. Consideration of the key aspects of this process, based on scientific approaches, should begin with the definition of the very concept of meat products in relation to the agro-industrial complex. The implemented digital technologies will open up new opportunities for the development of the meat industry, primarily to optimize load management, increase resource efficiency and minimize losses for producers.
