The article compares the concepts of «economic security». Within the framework of the article, various approaches to the definition of the category «security» and «economic security» are evaluated. Further, the article systemizes the approaches of researchers to the disclosure of the concept of «economic security». Based on the works of various researchers, the article describes a comparative analysis of existing and proposed authorial approaches to determining the country’s economic security. In conclusion of the article on the basis of the assessments, the final definition of economic security is given.
