In the course of research, modern trends in the development of international migration are highlighted, and problems related to the control and regulation of these processes are considered. The analysis of migration flows has helped to create modern additions that will allow us to develop a reasonable international policy on global migration. Applicationarea . Scope of international regulation. Conclusions . Trends in international migration, despite their relative stability over time, require modern additions for a number of reasons: the increase in the share of immigrants in the General structure of the World’s population indicates the intensity of migration flows along the main «corridors». Gradually slowing down the process of globalization will have a direct impact on the movement of labor resources in the future, while eliminating the multidirectional nature of this phenomenon in the present. The gap in the standard of living of many countries contributes to the development of migration. In modern conditions, the increase in North - South migration is mainly due to the gap in GDP per capita between Europe and the countries of North Africa and the Middle East, as well as the demographic gap between the aging population of developed countries and the rapidly growing young population of developing economies.
