Abstract

The article considers the role of the pharmaceutical industry in the development of the country’s economy. The main trends in the development of the pharmaceutical market as a Helsnet market segment are analyzed. Its importance has been updated in terms of ensuring the basic needs and security of Russians. The geographical structure and dynamics of the global pharmaceutical market are investigated. The possibilities of developing the Internet space for the sale of medicines and drugs in Russia are analyzed. It is possible to expand the pharmaceutical market through the development of online sites for the order of medicines. The features of the implementation of the project «Strategies for the development of electronic commerce in the Russian Federation until 2025» in terms of the sale and purchase of medical goods are considered. Since medicines are essential commodities, there is a threat of uncontrolled sales of drugs to the public, an increase in the number of accidents due to poisoning, overdose of drugs, etc. The experience of foreign countries in eliminating threats in the sale of drugs through online platforms is considered.
