The relevance of the topic. An important factor in the effectiveness of monitoring is the timely provision of reliable information received from all participants in socio-economic regional development. Goal. Improving the organization of monitoring based on the replenishment of information systems with profile indicators. Methodology. Theoretical research methods such as analysis, synthesis and generalization are used. Results and conclusions. Based on the analysis and evaluation of the identified trends in the organization of monitoring of socio-economic development, conceptual proposals for improving information systems, in terms of replenishing them with profile indicators, are formulated. This will significantly affect the timely receipt of information during monitoring and the ability to process the information received. Scope of application. The results can be applied in the daily activities of the executive authorities of the subjects of the Russian Federation and territorial federal authorities.
