THE IMPACT OF PRICING MECHANISMS ON THE PERFORMANCE OF DEFENSE INDUSTRY ENTERPRISES

Abstract

The relevance of the topic. In the era of international confrontations, when the world is faced with numerous military clashes and hidden forms of aggression, the military-industrial complex (MIC) is undergoing serious changes in the production of military products, which occupies the largest share in the structure of enterprises. In order to ensure national security and increase defense capability, the fulfillment of a state order for defense industry enterprises is becoming a strategically important area. As a result of the increase in the economic activity of defense industry enterprises, the level of employment of the population increases, leading to a decrease in unemployment, an increase in the level of solvency, and as a result, an overall increase in the standard of living of the population. The economic results of defense industry enterprises are improving due to the stimulation of the industry through the implementation of the state defense order (GOZ), which contributes not only to the growth of industrial production, but also to an increase in the country's GDP. Prices for products sold under the state order are determined according to legislative acts, in contrast to the formation of the cost of goods for the population, where the key factor is demand from buyers. The economic development of defense industry enterprises has been poorly studied in terms of the impact of price mechanisms, so the need for in-depth research is obvious. Goal. Determining the impact of pricing mechanisms on the economy of defense industry enterprises. Methodology. The following methods were used in this study: analysis of statistical data from enterprise reports, scientific papers, and the method of correlation and regression analysis. Results and conclusions. The analysis of the impact of pricing mechanisms on the performance of defense industry enterprises has shown that the cost of production has the greatest impact, the price itself does not have a significant impact, because it is fixed. The scope of application. The method of correlation and regression analysis presented in this paper is of great importance, as it allows us to assess how the mechanisms of product price formation affect the success of defense industry enterprises.
