Abstract

Ensuring road safety is one of the forms of implementing a unified state policy of Russia in the field of protecting life, health and property of citizens by preventing road accidents and reducing the severity of their consequences. This activity today is of great social, political and economic importance. In this regard, the authors propose a systematic approach as the preferred management tool for increasing the efficiency of public authorities in the field of road safety.The analysis of factors affecting the state of road safety of the region was carried out. Within the framework of the program-target method, ways of improving the system of public administration in the field of road safety are proposed.
