Abstract

Relevance of the topic: The topic of research on the problems of state and municipal management of the agro-industrial complex has acquired particular relevance in modern conditions, which is primarily caused by the imposition of anti-Russian economic sanctions. It should be noted that economic sanctions don’t lead only to negative consequences, but they can also be used as a mechanism to increase domestic production of agricultural products. Moreover, sanctions may lead to expansion of the directions of agricultural production in connection with the emergence of areas previously occupied by foreign companies; as well as enhancing the entrepreneurial experience of citizens of the Russian Federation, increasing employment, reducing unemployment and so on. Goal. Analysis of the practice of implementing measures for the development of agriculture and the entire agro-industrial complex of the region as a whole. Methodology. System analysis of the Russian experience of state and municipal management of the agro-industrial complex. Results and conclusions. Significant aspects of state and municipal management of the agroindustrial complex are analyzed based on an assessment of the current situation. The factors hindering the development of this branch of economic activity are highlighted, possible ways of resolving the current situation are proposed. It is noted that the effective and fully coordinated functioning of agricultural organizations directly depends on the competent coordination of the management and regulation mechanism of the entire agro-industrial complex.
