The relevance of the topic. The lack of free territories for development in the city center creates an urgent need for improvement and renovation of old industrial zones in the context of their redevelopment and the realization of opportunities for the development of the city. Goal. Analysis and evaluation of the main methods of renovation and development of industrial zones, benchmarking the experience of foreign and domestic redevelopment of industrial territories. Methodology. Application of evaluation and comparative comparison methods in research. Results and conclusions. The concept and essence of redevelopment of industrial territories are considered. The relevance of the subject under consideration and the possible benefits of the refunctionalization of industrial zones are substantiated. The economic and industrial environment of the city of Voronezh is analyzed, industrial zones in need of comprehensive reconstruction are identified. The urban planning analysis of the territory chosen for development is carried out: the infrastructural support is investigated and the comparison of functional zoning options is carried out.
