Abstract

The relevance of the topic. In modern conditions, characterized by an expanded range of key tasks for the development of the regional economy, their increased complexity, and increasing external challenges and threats, it is necessary to increase the effectiveness of public administration. The objective basis of such a process is the modernization of public administration. The disclosure of its invariant content becomes an actual scientific problem. Goal. Definition and substantive characteristics of the directions of modernization of the state management of the economy of the regions. Methodology. Methods of scientific abstraction, analysis and synthesis for the definition and meaningful characteristics of the directions of modernization of public administration of the economy of the regions. Results and conclusions. The directions of updating the state management of the regions' economies are determined, and their invariant (common to different regions) content is revealed.
