Abstract

Relevance of the topic. The international movement of labor is one of the central processes taking place in the modern global economy. The movement of labor forces leads to a massive movement of capital, determines the nature of the functioning of mechanisms for the distribution of surplus value among global market players. The relevance of studying international labor migration is inextricably linked to the growing closeness of world economies, the crisis of globalization, and the need to predict the structure and dynamics of this key process. Goal. To study the international labor movement, its structure, and the dynamics of development both in perspective and in retrospect. Methodology. The methodological basis of the research is a set of measures of scientific knowledge, including system analysis, synthesis, horizon scanning, a systematic approach, statistical and comparative legal methods. Results and conclusions. The international labor movement is one of the key constituent processes of the modern global economic system. Currently, international labor migration is going through a crisis stage, due to both the general growing crisis of globalization since 2008, as well as current geopolitical events and contradictions. The problems of international labor migration are currently the most acute, and work on their resolution or mitigation is promising for the countries of the world seeking deeper integration into the global economic system and the international division of labor. International labor migration can have both positive and negative effects on a country's economy. The most beneficiaries of international labor migration are developed countries such as the EU, the USA, Australia and Canada. Third world countries are most often suppliers of cheap labor, and migrant outflows often negatively affect the economy of these countries. Scope of application. Global economy.
