Abstract
The relevance of the topic is determined by the increasing importance of increasing financial literacy of the population for the sustainable development of the regions. The purpose of the work is to study the role of municipalities in the implementation of financial literacy programs in Siberia. Methodology. The research methods include content analysis of regulations and strategic planning documents of the subjects of the federation. The results and conclusions consist in the formation of proposals for improving the mechanism of interaction between the regional and municipal levels of government. The conclusions emphasize the need to unify approaches to the creation of coordination structures with the participation of local governments. The scope of application. The sphere of managing social and economic processes in regions with limited administrative capabilities and resources.
