Abstract
The relevance of the topic. The multidirectional processes of globalization and regionalization are the main trend in the development of modern society. It manifests itself in all spheres of life. Goal. To analyze the mutual influence of globalization and regionalization processes. Methodology. Such methods as institutional analysis, the method of expert assessments, and a systematic approach were used. Results and conclusions. Global regionalization leads to the creation of new elements of the global political system — global regions. The presence of common civilizational, cultural, historical and political ties between the regions is an important factor for the successful establishment of mutually beneficial cooperation and the implementation of joint projects.
