Abstract

The relevance of the topic. The need to explain the reasons for the personnel shortage with a significant excess of the number of applicants over vacant jobs and the offer of tools to reduce the imbalance in a particular segment of the labor market. Goals. Determination of ways to solve the problem of staffing the economy on the example of a specific industry — the sphere of public catering based on the results of the author's research. Methodology. The descriptive method is fundamental, including such techniques as interpretation, comparison, generalization. Methods of static analysis, classification, deduction and induction, analogy, abstraction are also used in the work. Results and conclusions. The author's approach is presented, based on a systematic solution to the problem, implying active interaction between business and the education system. The research materials allowed us to conclude that such a partnership should, first of all, lie in the plane of coordinating new promising areas and profiles of training specialists in the field of public catering. Minimizing the imbalance between the personnel training system and the needs of the labor market is possible on the basis of comprehensive career guidance, systematic information about the situation on the labor market, the creation of specialized departments in educational institutions. Scope of application. The article is of interest to specialists in the field of labor market theory, as well as practitioners involved in the development and implementation of the personnel strategy of public catering enterprises.
