RETROSPECTIVE ANALYSIS OF STATISTICAL INDICATORS OF PRIMARY, SECONDARY AND HIGHER EDUCATION IN RUSSIA

Abstract

Topic. Human capital is a strategically important resource that ensures the innovative development of the national economy. Current economic and political events have exacerbated the need to accelerate import substitution processes in high-tech industries and brought to the fore the need to achieve technological sovereignty of the Russian Federation in order to reduce political and economic pressure from unfriendly states. Within the framework of solving these tasks, it is difficult to overestimate the value of the education system in the formation, accumulation and multiplication of human capital, as well as in the implementation of the function of transmitting cultural and moral values. Therefore, a detailed study of the functioning of the educational system has always remained relevant directions for domestic cars. Target. A retrospective statistical analysis of the system of preschool, secondary and higher education in Russia to assess the dynamics of its condition and search for solutions to improve its level. Methodology. Such methods of general scientific knowledge as analysis, synthesis, tabular and graphical methods of generalization and visualization were used in the work. Results and conclusions. The study found that the system of preschool, secondary (including vocational) and higher education in Russia in its modern form was formed during the 1960s and 1970s, when the average performance of these institutions was achieved to date. The Institute of Higher Education (postgraduate and doctoral studies) in the Soviet period was characterized by relatively stable performance indicators. However, in the post-Soviet years there was a sharp surge in the number of graduate students and doctoral students, which was partially stopped by the reform of higher education in 2014—2015, as a result of which the number of graduates of higher education sharply decreased.
